Packaging

Once I had figured out what style of branding I wanted my company had, I then started to look at a packaging style for them. I looked back at my moodboard I had previously created to help gather some ideas.

I knew the packaging should fit the following ideas:

  • A standard shape - This would help it be easily transported during shipping, and also give the customer a sense of familiarity, lowering the barrier of entry as they don’t need to learn how to use a complex packaging experience.
  • Eyecatching - My product will feature in shelves that will be filled with very similar products. To help increase sales, it should have a “wow” factor which makes customers pick my product over others.
  • Identity - The packaging should fit in with my company’s existing branding conventions, helping the product be recognisable as being part of the brand.
