The Brief - Flavourings

Brands of food flavourings have distinctive visual identities and a fascinating history of advertising campaigns. Design a new identity and advertising material for a brand of food flavouring. Coley Porter Bell produced bright colour-coded packaging designs in a refreshed identity for OXO. Illustrator Will Owen created the Bisto Kids, accompanied by the tagline, ‘Ah! Bisto’. Bovril celebrated its 125th anniversary with limited edition jars based on vintage poster designs. adam&eveDDB produced several ‘Love it or Hate it’ campaigns for Marmite which included a series of posters illustrated by Dermot Flynn. Statement of Intent

I chose the question “Flavourings” as I really enjoy creating packaging and then creating realistic, 3D scenes to place those products in. As well as this, I really want to improve my photography, specifically product photography, and this question lends itself well to that. I also want to work on more physical outcomes such as point of sales that are often found within supermarkets. I wanted to look into tea flavourings, more specifically fruit tea, as its a beverage I often drink, and I believe its a rather unique spin on the question Flavourings.
